Birthday BooksThe birthday book program is an optional way for families to honor their student’s birthday by donating a book to the school library. A special label will go in the book with their name and the book will be read aloud to their class. This is a great way to celebrate a birthday while helping grow our library.
Books that the library needs can be found on our Amazon wish list, or you may contact Mrs. LeSueur at [email protected]. |
Windows & Mirrors Book Club - 4th/5th Grades“Books are sometimes windows, offering views of worlds that may be real or imagined, familiar or strange. These windows are also sliding glass doors, and readers have only to walk through in imagination to become part of whatever world has been created and recreated by the author. When lighting conditions are just right, however, a window can also be a mirror. Literature transforms human experience and reflects it back to us, and in that reflection we can see our own lives and experiences as part of the larger human experience.” (Dr. Rudine Sims Bishop) 2022-23 Book List 2021-22 Book List 2019-20 Book List 2018-19 Book List |
Junior Librarians are nominated by their 4th grade teachers at the end of the 4th grade year to serve during their 5th grade year. Junior Librarian teams take turns during the year helping out in the library from 8:45-9:15 each morning. They check books in and out, shelve books, help younger students find books and help keep our library neat and organized.
